As per the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Notification, 2006 (and subsequent amendments), projects listed under Category A or Category B, such as mining, thermal power, industrial estates, chemical manufacturing, and real estate projects above prescribed threshold limits, must obtain Environmental Clearance (EC) before commencing construction. The clearance is granted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) or the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), depending on the project category.

Our Process

1. Applicability screening to determine whether your project requires Environmental Clearance and under which category (A/B1/B2).
2. Preparation and online filing of Form-1/Form-1A through the PARIVESH portal.
3. Coordination for Terms of Reference (ToR) finalization with SEIAA/MoEFCC.
4. Conducting baseline environmental studies (air, water, soil, noise, and ecology) wherever an EIA report is required.
5. Public hearing coordination for Category A and applicable Category B1 projects.
6. Preparation and submission of the final Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP), along with representation before the Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC).
7. Continuous follow-up until Environmental Clearance is granted and assistance with compliance of post-EC conditions.
