Overview

Industries covered under the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986 are required to submit an annual Environmental Statement (Form V) to the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB). In addition, many organizations undertake voluntary environmental audits to strengthen regulatory compliance, support Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, and meet due-diligence requirements for investors, financial institutions, and certification bodies.

Our Process

  1. Review of water, energy, and raw material consumption data along with waste generation records.
  2. Comprehensive site audit covering air emissions, effluent discharge, hazardous and solid waste management, and overall regulatory compliance.
  3. Identification of compliance gaps against consent conditions, environmental regulations, and applicable statutory standards.
  4. Preparation and timely submission of Form V (Environmental Statement) to GPCB.
  5. Preparation of a detailed corrective action plan with practical recommendations for achieving and maintaining compliance.

Documents Typically Required

  • Water and energy consumption records
  • Raw material and production data
  • Air emission and effluent monitoring reports
  • Hazardous and solid waste generation and disposal records
  • Copies of valid GPCB consents and environmental compliance records
  • Previous Environmental Statement (Form V), if applicable

Why It Matters Regular environmental audits help identify compliance gaps before they become regulatory issues, improve environmental performance, and ensure timely statutory reporting. Environmental audit reports are also valuable for obtaining bank finance, certifications, ESG reporting, and demonstrating environmental responsibility to stakeholders.
