Overview

Industries operating boilers, furnaces, DG sets, incinerators, or process stacks are required to carry out periodic stack emission monitoring to demonstrate compliance with Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) consent conditions and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Parameters such as Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM), Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Carbon Monoxide (CO), and other process-specific pollutants are monitored to ensure emissions remain within prescribed limits.

Our Process

  1. Identification of all emission sources and stacks requiring monitoring as per GPCB consent conditions and applicable standards.
  2. Isokinetic stack sampling using calibrated monitoring equipment in accordance with CPCB-approved methodologies.
  3. Laboratory analysis of collected samples through NABL-accredited laboratories.
  4. Comparison of monitoring results against GPCB consent limits and applicable CPCB emission standards.
  5. Preparation and submission of a detailed stack monitoring report for consent compliance, Form V filing, and regulatory inspections.

Documents Typically Required

  • Copy of valid GPCB Consent (CTE/CCA/CTO)
  • Details of boilers, furnaces, DG sets, or process stacks
  • Stack specifications, including height and diameter
  • Fuel consumption and process details
  • Details of air pollution control equipment (APCE)
  • Previous stack monitoring reports, if available

Why It Matters Stack emission monitoring is a mandatory compliance requirement under the Air Act and GPCB consent conditions. Regular monitoring helps verify the effectiveness of pollution control systems, supports timely consent renewals, and provides documented evidence of compliance during GPCB inspections and environmental audits.
